Panel 1: Mira dodging out of the way of a bolt of green fire. SFX: FOOOM
Panel 2: The staff-wielding cultist looking smug, green fire swirling around her staff. CULTIST: "Casting spells out of a notebook like some middle schooler? I suppose it’s only to be expected. You wouldn’t be questing for scraps—"
Panel 3: Dani and the Axe Cultist fight in the foreground, while Mira is kneeling on the ground where she fell after dodging the firebolt. CULTIST: "if you had any actual talent for magic."
Panel 4: Close on Mira’s eyes, one of them twitching in response to the last statement.
Panel 5: Mira places her hand on a shadow on the floor.
Panel 6: Mira, eyes closed, chants a spell as her hair lifts from the magic. Shadows pull across the walls and floor, converging under her, then swirling up her arm. Faint whispers hover around her head. MIRA: [Incanting in magical language]
Panel 7: Mira’s closed eyes, shadowy tendrils pouring into the bottom of the lids. More faint whispers.
Panel 8: Mira’s eyes shoot open, sclera black, and irises the purple of her magic, the shine normally seen from light in the eye is black as the sclera. Dark veins reach in from the edges of her face. More faint whispers. MIRA: "Let’s compare talents, then."
